Our Plan

Neither of us grew up as runners and up until this year probably didn't think we'd ever be able to call ourselves runners!  So in order to accomplish our goal of running a half-marathon in 2010 successfully and without injury, we're taking our training S-L-O-W.  Here's what our plan looks like:

  • March - May: Couch-to-5k plan found at this link
  • May - October: Novice Half-Marathon training plan found at this link
This plan can be done in 12 weeks but because we've got the time, we're going to double up on some of the week's trainings.
  • October 17, 2010: Successfully complete the Long Beach Half-Marathon!
